Harry Houdini overcame the hardships of his immigrant upbringing to become the world’s most famous escape artist and the cultural icon of the early 20th century.  Learn about Houdini’s Jewish background and rise to stardom, the Yale Press book examining his role in our society, and witness Houdini’s magic and escapes offered by local magicians.
